We identify recipients by combining detailed field assessments from our teams on the ground with comprehensive data analytics. This ensures that aid is prioritized for the most vulnerable households—those facing acute food insecurity, displacement, or loss of livelihood.
To ensure the most efficient and dignified delivery of aid, we do not accept physical food donations. Financial contributions allow us to procure fresh, culturally appropriate food from local markets. We are currently operating active relief and development programs in several high-priority regions, including Gaza, Sudan, Somalia, Bangladesh, and Pakistan. Two billion people globally experience food insecurity. Food insecurity is when someone does not have physical or economic access to sufficient, safe, and nutritious food.
Canadians are not exempt. Over 1.15 million Canadian children fall victim to food insecurity. We don’t have to look far from home to find beneficiaries.
Our work ensured that food was available, accessible, and adequate. In Yemen, we’ve opened two bakeries providing more than 8000 loaves of bread daily to Yemeni families and orphans in need.
